The philharmonic LA Phil has announced today that it will be cutting 35% of its staff, which includes regular part time layoffs. Wage reductions are also planned. The compensation of the executive leadership will also be cut by more that 35%. Renegotiated interim contracts will reduce the full-time compensation of orchestra members to 65% below the regular weekly minimum.
